Between pickups, RI Minimum Housing Standards require barrels stored out of public view (side or rear of dwelling). Overflowing or uncovered barrels are rejected.
Barrels left out past deadline: Providence warning then $25 to $100 per occurrence. Improperly placed or overflowing barrels skipped by hauler. Repeat violations: escalating fines up to $300.
