Full Breakdown

Sectors are drawn off Boca Chica Street, Paredes Line Road, and Expressway 77. Sector 1 covers north of Boca Chica and west of Paredes Line; Sector 2, south of Boca Chica and west of Expressway 77; Sector 3, north of Boca Chica and east of Paredes Line; Sector 4, south of Boca Chica and east of Expressway 77. Each sector gets one Monday-through-Friday week per month. Tree limbs must not exceed 8 feet. Keep brush and bulky items in separate piles and 6 feet clear of meters, service boxes, overhead wires, parked cars, and overhangs. Furniture, mattresses, water heaters, stoves, and washers are collected; grass and leaves must be bagged.

Violations & Fines

Construction debris, concrete, lumber, roof shingles, cardboard, tires, dirt, car parts, batteries, liquids, and household garbage are not collected. Freon appliances need a certified removal decal. Excess brush is rescheduled by the sanitation superintendent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my brush and bulk week?
Check the city's Brush and Bulk Zoning Map to identify your sector, then read your sector's row on the Brush and Bulk Pickup Schedule at brownsvilletx.gov/682/Brush-Pick-Up.
I missed my week. Will the truck come back?
No. The truck makes one pass and cannot return for late set-outs. Late piles wait until the following month, or you can arrange a special pickup through 956-546-HELP.
Can I put out my old refrigerator?
Yes, once the Freon is removed by an authorized facility and the unit carries that facility's decal confirming removal. Without the decal it will not be collected.
