Accepted items include furniture, textiles, mattresses, plumbing fixtures such as toilets and sinks, scrap metal, wood scraps and flattened cardboard. Appliances are not accepted through curbside bulky pickup. A city bulky waste voucher program gives Davis residents free loads at the Yolo County Central Landfill on a scheduled basis. Recology encourages donating usable furniture to a Yolo County nonprofit first. Electronic waste and batteries are not collected curbside and should go to the Yolo County landfill or an e-waste drop-off such as Goodwill Donation Xpress.
