Bulky-waste (large trash) collection runs once per week on your designated day. To be collected, each item must be under six (6) feet long and 400 pounds, and the total pile must not exceed six (6) cubic yards. White goods (appliances) and tires are accepted at up to four items per category per week. Hazardous materials, biomedical waste, asbestos-containing material, explosives, acids, caustics, pesticides, paints, solvents, automotive batteries and vehicular fluids are excluded and must be disposed of through proper local, state and federal channels, not curbside bulk. Construction/demolition debris from contractors is the contractor's responsibility. The Department of Environmental Affairs administers bulk collection under Chapter 16.
Oversized loads, excluded/hazardous items, or contractor debris left at the curb may be refused and cited.
