Mattresses and box springs are banned from trash statewide under MassDEP 310 CMR 19.017 effective November 2022 and must be separated for recycling. Electronics (TVs, computers, monitors) are banned from trash and go to municipal drop-off or Best Buy/Staples take-back. Paint, batteries, and household hazardous waste go to scheduled HHW collection events. Construction debris is not eligible.
