03(E) of the Davidson County Code of Ordinances prohibits an owner, occupant, tenant, or lessee of a building or dwelling from placing or leaving, or causing to be placed or left, any bulky waste outside the structure for longer than 72 hours. 03(D) covers lumber, boxes, barrels, bottles, cans, tires, paper, cardboard, rags, old furniture and other bulky waste, and white goods such as refrigerators and washing machines, all of which must otherwise be sorted to resist rodent and vermin harborage and avoid a fire hazard.
