Kings County, CA Trash & Recycling: Collection Schedule (2026)

Kings County Code § 13-37(a)(3) requires every licensed hauler to provide a minimum regular collection schedule for its customers, and bars changing that schedule without giving the public works department and every affected customer at least 30 days' notice. Section 13-38 backs this up by requiring haulers to supply customers with printed information cards listing days of collection at subscription, on request, and in advance of any route or regulation change. Service itself is mandatory: § 13-12(1) requires single-family generators to subscribe to the county's three-container collection service for all solid waste generated, unless they qualify as self-haulers.
