Violations & Fines
Any person violating an article of Chapter 17, including skipping mandatory weekly collection without an approved exemption, is guilty of an infraction under § 6-17.102. The Director of the Community Services Department, or a designee, enforces violations through the administrative citation process in Title 1, Chapter 5 of the county code. An exemption already granted can be revoked under § 6-17.301(f) if the Director finds a violation of the exemption's terms or that an unsanitary condition, public health threat, environmental contamination, or nuisance is being created, which puts the property back under the mandatory weekly-service requirement.
