Westchester County Solid Waste Commission oversees countywide solid waste management under the 1986 Solid Waste Management Plan. Participating municipalities deliver MSW to the Charles Point Resource Recovery Facility in Peekskill. Recycling is mandatory countywide under Laws of Westchester County Ch. 825 (Source Separation Law).
