Unincorporated Jefferson Parish collects household garbage twice a week and recycling curbside; look up your days at the parish's Find My Pick-Up Days tool. On New Year's, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Christmas there is no collection and no makeup - wait for your next scheduled day.
Enter your house number and street name in the parish's Find My Pick-Up Days lookup at jeffparish.gov to see your garbage and recycling days (unincorporated parish and Jean Lafitte; incorporated cities run their own service). Garbage is collected twice weekly from the parish-issued 95-gallon cart. Bulky waste is collected once a week - items up to six feet or 400 pounds, total under six cubic yards; large appliances and tires are limited to four each per week. Set carts out no sooner than 4 p.m. the day before, and remove them by noon the day after.
