Guadalupe County, TX Trash & Recycling: Pickup Rules & Schedules (2026)

Outside city limits there is no county-run pickup. Residents in unincorporated Guadalupe County, from Marion to the fringes of Seguin, arrange service through a private subscription hauler and pay the company directly. Tex. Health & Safety Code §364.011(a) authorizes the Commissioners Court to regulate solid waste collection, handling, storage, and disposal in areas not inside a municipality or its extraterritorial jurisdiction, subject to the Solid Waste Disposal Act. The county has adopted no mandatory program, so pickup days, billing, and cart sizes are set by each hauler's contract. Inside Seguin, Schertz, and Cibolo, the city runs or contracts collection.
