Pearl City residents must prepare refuse and recyclables under ROH rules, including limits on branch diameter, bundle weight, and green-waste length for manual collection areas.
Under ROH Sec. 42-1.4, residents in manual-collection areas of Pearl City must cut tree branches to no more than 9 inches in diameter and green waste to lengths not exceeding 3 feet. Bundles are limited to 50 pounds. Set-out timing requirements apply to avoid early placement or safety hazards. Section 42-1.5 places limitations on collection, including refusal of unsafe or improperly prepared material. Many Pearl City routes use automated cart collection; check the route map with ENV. Enforcement is handled by the Department of Environmental Services.
Oversized branches, overweight bundles, or improperly prepared material may result in non-collection, warnings, or fines.
