Full Breakdown
Roswell Code § 24.5.21 defines water waste to include failing to repair any controllable leak on property owned by a registered meter customer, along with letting irrigation or other water run onto streets, sewers or others' land without first getting maximum beneficial use from it. It's a violation to intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or negligently allow water waste, or to water landscaping outside the city's prescribed irrigation hours. The city gives the customer a timetable to stop the waste; if it hasn't ceased, the customer is subject to fines and/or water service termination under Code § 1.1.3.
Violations & Fines
Failing to repair a controllable leak after the city's cure deadline exposes the customer to fines and possible water service termination under Code § 1.1.3.
