In most residential zones, accessory structures must be at least 5 feet from side and rear property lines. Sheds must be located in the side or rear yard; placement in the front yard is generally prohibited. Maximum lot coverage (including all structures) must not be exceeded. The height of accessory structures is typically limited to 15 feet in most residential zones unless the structure qualifies as an ADU or other special use.
