Beekeeping in Gilbert is governed entirely by the town's Land Development Code (LDC), not the general Code of Gilbert, which is silent on bees. 2, "Animals," explains that base animal regulations and definitions live in the Gilbert Municipal Code, while additional siting standards not covered there, including apiaries, are set out in this LDC section. 2(A)(4), apiaries are permitted in any residential zoning district as long as the hives are located at least 100 feet from any property line. 2(A)(5)), which caps birds at six per half-acre lot and ties rooster keeping to Chapter 6 of the Municipal Code.

2(A).
