Once a dog is officially declared dangerous, the owner has 30 days to register it annually, carry at least $100,000 in liability coverage, build a division-approved secure enclosure, post a visible warning sign, microchip the dog, and muzzle and leash it (six feet or less) whenever it leaves the enclosure.
