Pinellas Park allows up to four hens (no roosters) at single-family homes for personal use. Coops must meet 15-foot setbacks, 6-foot height limits, and screening from public view. Livestock and farm animals are prohibited outside the F Farm District.
Under Section 5-206 of Chapter 5 (Animals and Fowl), residents in single-family residential zoning may keep up to four hens for personal egg consumption, with no breeding or commercial sale allowed. Roosters are prohibited. Coops cannot be located in the front yard, must not exceed six feet in height, must maintain a 15-foot setback from all property lines, and must be screened from the right of way by a six-foot solid fence. Coops must be kept clean and sanitary. Farm animals such as cows, goats, pigs, and horses are prohibited in residential districts and may only be kept in the F Farm District.
Code enforcement may issue notices and citations; violations can result in fines, removal orders for prohibited animals, and per-day penalties until corrected.
