26 carves out a maximum of three chickens or three rabbits, or a combination not exceeding three, kept as pets in confined, clean coops or cages. 27 separately bars anyone from displaying, selling, offering for sale, bartering, giving away, or otherwise disposing of chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, pigeons, doves, squabs or similar fowl or rabbits anywhere in the City, so the three-animal pet allowance does not create a right to deal in live poultry. 50 for every additional animal. 47 must include a plot plan showing the location of proposed stables, corrals and enclosures.

48 requires the Health Department to inspect the premises for clean, sanitary conditions before the Building Inspector can issue the permit, and the permit must be renewed annually by June 30. 49 lets a permit transfer to a new owner of the same property only with Planning Commission and Council approval. 50 sets the dimensional standards: a minimum one-acre lot for the first two animals (one additional animal per extra acre, subject to Planning Commission conditions), stable buildings at least 100 feet from any neighboring house, 40 feet from the neighboring property line and from the residence on the same lot, corrals at least 25 feet from the neighboring property line, and stable buildings at least 75 feet from any street line. 51 requires the land to be well drained, with corral and paddock surfaces graded to prevent storm or casual water from accumulating.
