Summary

For purposes of this Section, the term "commercial vehicle" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by Vehicle Code Section 260, and the term "oversized" shall mean a commercial vehicle that has any one of the following characteristics: Exceeds twenty-four and one-half (24.5) feet in overall length (including any load or accessory thereon); has a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of more than eight thousand (8,000) pounds; has a height greater than seven and one-half (7.5) feet; or has a width greater than seven and one-half (7.5) feet. ... D. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections B and C of this Section, no person shall stop, stand or park any oversized commercial vehicle in a residential district at any time; provided, however, any person may stop, stand or park any such vehicle in a residential district while necessary to load or unload property therefrom, or when such stopping, standing or parking is reasonably necessary in the performance of a service to or upon any property in the block where such vehicle is stopped, standing or parked.
