Full Breakdown
Clark County Code § 10.36.040 makes it unlawful for any animal owner, other than a cat owner, to let the animal stray, run loose, or otherwise be at large anywhere in unincorporated Clark County: including the Las Vegas Strip corridor in Paradise and Winchester townships, since the Strip itself sits outside the Las Vegas city limits. Owners of unsterilized dogs or cats must additionally keep the animal restrained on their property by a fence, cage, coop, chain, leash, or other adequate means so it cannot leave or escape. Violations are enforced by the animal control officer and county police.
Violations & Fines
Violating § 10.40.040 is a misdemeanor punishable by fine or jail, with each day of ongoing at-large or unrestrained-animal violation counted as a separate offense.
