Unincorporated Macon County has no ordinance compelling dog or cat owners to spay or neuter their animals. 17: every dog and cat kept in the county must be registered with Macon County Animal Control through its authorized veterinary agents, and the annual fee is $15 if the animal is spayed or neutered and $50 if it is not, provided registration happens within 30 days of the rabies vaccination.
