WSMC §17.30.060 permits up to four adult small domestic animals per dwelling unit on parcels up to one-half acre, plus up to four hen chickens. Roosters are prohibited.
'Small domestic animals' include dogs, cats, and similar household pets. Larger parcels may keep more animals subject to setback and waste-control standards. Backyard hens must be kept in clean, sanitary coops set back from neighboring dwellings; roosters are banned citywide because of noise. Beekeeping and larger livestock (goats, sheep, swine) are limited to AG-zoned or RR-zoned parcels.
Notice of Violation under §17.30. Excess animals must be removed within a stated cure period; refusal triggers administrative citation.
