Section 550-78 of the Land Development Ordinance governs the HC Highway Commercial and GC General Commercial Districts. " A companion item, (33), separately permits a "Pet shop, not involving the treatment or boarding of cats and dogs," so a boarding or treatment operation must run through the animal-hospital use rather than the pet-shop use. Because the HC and GC Districts share one use table, an animal hospital may locate wherever either designation applies, though HC parcels must also front one of the major arteries listed in § 550-44A.
