Clark County, NV Animal Ordinances: Veterinary Clinic Zoning (2026)

Under UDC § 30.03.04(A), 'Animal Hospital' uses (defined at § 30.07.02 as facilities for examination, medical or surgical treatment, overnight care, or observation of animals) are allowed across commercial and several industrial zones, though in RS80 and RS40 they're confined to the county's Nonurban Area, a standard the code says cannot be waived or varied. Kennels operated alongside a clinic are treated separately: in commercial districts they must be accessory to the animal hospital and limited to indoor kennels only, while in IP, IL and AG districts outdoor kennels and runs need a 500-foot buffer from residentially-adjacent land under § 30.04.06 unless an arterial or collector street separates them. Title 10 animal-care rules apply on top of this zoning layer.
