Mandatory Organics Recycling

Fremont Municipal Code Section 8.40.100 requires every single-family and multifamily household to keep organics, recyclables, and municipal solid waste completely separate and set them out in the franchise collector's designated carts. If you are coming from a city with tighter rules, you will find Fremont gives residents more flexibility on yard waste collection.

Bulk Item Disposal

Fremont Municipal Code Section 8.40.280(j) entitles every single-family residential property to two free bulky goods collections a year from the franchise collector, covering large discarded items like furniture and appliances, with additional bulky-item or construction debris pickups available for an extra charge by arrangement.
