" The director must give the property owner written notice to either obtain a new permit and diligently complete the work, or demolish and remove it. The owner then has thirty days from that notice to pull a new permit and get moving, or must instead obtain a demolition permit and remove the structure or project within sixty days of the notice date, there is no third option. 090. 110.

Building without a required permit, or letting a permitted project sit stalled past the notice deadlines in § 15.04.110, is a Title 15 violation punishable under the general penalty at § 1.40.010: up to $250 for a repeat infraction or a misdemeanor carrying up to $1,000 or six months in county jail, with each day of continued noncompliance a separate offense.
