Violations & Fines
A violation of Chapter 14.10 SMC, including working without a required electrical permit, is punishable under Sonoma Municipal Code § 1.12.010(A)(4) by a fine not exceeding $100 for a first violation, $500 for a second violation of the same section within a year, and $1,000 for a third or subsequent violation. Under § 1.12.010(E), no building, zoning, fire, or other permit will be issued to the responsible party until the penalty and related permit fees are paid.
