Summary

Springdale enforces the 2020 National Electrical Code in full for all wiring work, excluding only the NEC's Section 210.8(F) GFCI rule for HVAC equipment.

There is hereby adopted by the city, for the purpose for continued maintenance and upgrading of standards for electrical wiring, that certain electrical code known as the 2020 National Electrical Code, in its entirety, of which not less than three copies shall be filed in the office of the city clerk.

The 2020 National Electrical Code is incorporated herein as though set out fully word for word. The provisions of Section 210.8F of the 2020 National Electrical Code, dealing with the GFCI requirements for heating, ventilation and air conditioning are excluded from the adoption of the 2020 National Electrical Code.
