Full Breakdown

Before beginning plumbing work in Springdale, the installer must apply to the chief city inspector and obtain a permit; only persons authorized to do plumbing may be issued one, except that an owner may pull a permit to install plumbing in a single-family residence he owns and occupies, provided he does the work himself. The requirement sits under the city's adoption of the 2018 Arkansas Plumbing Code and 2018 Arkansas Fuel Gas Code, both enforced by the Springdale Building Inspector or a designee.
