Certificate of Compliance must be posted in the cab or adjacent to controller. ASME A17.1 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators applies. Private residence elevators in single-family homes are exempt from TDLR inspection but must meet ASME A17.1 Part 5.3. Non-compliance penalties up to $5,000 per violation per day under 16 TAC 60.
