Stanislaus County, CA Building Safety: Green Building Code (2026)

80 as the county's official green building code for the unincorporated area. As adopted, CALGreen applies its statewide mandatory measures to permitted construction outside the county's nine incorporated cities, each of which separately adopts its own edition of CALGreen for work within city limits. 010 does not itself list local amendments to CALGreen's substantive requirements, unlike the county's more heavily modified fire and building codes elsewhere in Title 16; it functions as a straight reference adoption, with the county building official required to keep a copy of the code available for public examination in the same way as the other codes adopted throughout Chapter 16.

020 clarifies that the California Green Building Standards Code, 2025 Edition, Part 11, operates alongside the county's other adopted codes (Building, Residential, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Energy) and that Title 16's own provisions govern in the event of a conflict. 040, referencing the California Building Code's own scope-and-administration provisions.
