Full Breakdown
Yuba County has not written its own green building code: it enforces the state-adopted California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen) through its own building inspection sequence. Section 10.05.610.H requires a green building standards inspection covering design, energy efficiency, water efficiency and conservation, material conservation and resource efficiency, and environmental quality. Section 10.05.610.D.1 separately requires framing moisture content to be verified against CALGreen Chapter 4, Division 4.5, and Section 10.05.610.I.1 requires a CALGreen Chapter 4, Division 4.4 operation-and-maintenance manual at final inspection.
Violations & Fines
Work that fails to demonstrate CALGreen compliance does not pass inspection and cannot advance to final approval or certificate of occupancy until corrections are made.
