Section 151.05(E) incorporates 675 I.A.C. 16-1.3-1 et seq. into the county code as the State Plumbing Code and Sanitary Engineer Standards, together with later amendments published in the Indiana Register or Indiana Administrative Code, governing plumbing installation, alteration, use, and occupancy in the unincorporated county. A permit is required before installing new plumbing under § 151.20(A), and the applicant must show the Building Commissioner a valid septic permit before any building permit involving plumbing issues, per § 151.21(B)(3). New construction plans subject to the state Fire and Building Code Services Department, including plumbing work under 675 I.A.C.

16-1.3, cannot receive a local permit until the state's own building permit release has been furnished under § 151.21(A)(2). Standalone plumbing fixtures are priced separately on the fee schedule: a water heater permit is $15 under § 151.27(N), while plumbing added as part of a larger alteration or addition falls under the general alteration rate of $0.43 per square foot with a $50 minimum under § 151.27(D). The Building Commissioner's office inspects the plumbing work along with the rest of the job under § 151.23, and the contractor is responsible for requesting an inspection, which the office aims to perform within 48 hours of notice.
