Midwest City, OK Business Licensing & Operations: Adult Entertainment (2026)

Midwest City Code § 28-24(d) confines adult entertainment establishments, defined in § 28-24(c) to include adult bookstores, adult motion picture theaters, adult arcades, massage parlors, and sexual encounter centers, to the zoning classification used for a similar nonadult use under Appendix A. The section also sets a 1,000-foot spacing buffer: no adult entertainment use may locate within 1,000 feet of another adult entertainment use, a church, a public or private school, a public or private park, or land zoned residential. Distances run property line to property line. Businesses operating before the ordinance took effect are grandfathered as nonconforming uses but cannot be enlarged, extended, altered, transferred or rebuilt.
