FL Β§381.986 (Florida Medical Marijuana Act) restricts cannabis to medical use through state-licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTCs). Patients with a qualifying condition and Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) ID card may purchase from MMTCs only. Home cultivation by patients or caregivers is NOT permitted. Recreational cannabis remains illegal statewide. Adult-use Amendment 3 failed at the November 2024 ballot. Possession of cannabis without a medical card is a state misdemeanor (under 20 g) or felony (over 20 g).
