Arvada requires a permit before anyone builds, alters, equips or repairs a swimming pool structure. The city adopted the 2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code in § 18-550, enforced by the Building Safety Division. A pool permit dies if work does not start within 180 calendar days or stalls for 180 days, and working without one is unlawful under § 18-39(a)(3).
