Bike Lane Rules
In the City of Muncie, Muncie City Code § 74.11 bars drivers from driving or parking a motor vehicle in a designated bicycle lane except briefly to turn or reach adjacent parking, alleys, or driveways when the lane is clear of cyclists, and flatly prohibits blocking a bike lane with a vehicle or any other object. A first violation under the chapter's penalty clause, § 74.15, carries a fine of up to $100.00.
