Port Orange bans leaving garbage, trash or debris in the street right-of-way outside scheduled pickup times, and after a declared disaster it will remove debris blocking rights-of-way that threatens life or safety. Residents must stack storm debris within three feet of the road shoulder and sort it into separate piles by type before city crews will pick it up.
