Sammamish's Building and Property Maintenance Code puts sidewalk upkeep on the abutting property owner. SMC 16.25.200(3) requires sidewalks, walkways, stairs, driveways, parking spaces and similar areas to be kept in a proper state of repair and free from hazardous conditions, backed by the owner's general maintenance duty in SMC 16.25.195(2).
