Shoreline taxes social card game rooms licensed by the Washington State Gambling Commission at 10 percent of annual gross receipts over $10,000, under SMC § 3.30.020(D). The city does not itself license or zone card rooms: its own "Card Room" zoning definition was repealed by Ordinance 258 in 2000, leaving state licensing and city taxation as the only local rules that apply.
