In the City of Shoreline, city park areas close 45 minutes after sunset and reopen 45 minutes before sunrise under SMC § 8.12.350, unless the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department posts different hours for a specific park. Anyone who enters or stays in a park during closed hours, except as part of a department-authorized event, commits a civil infraction carrying a fine of up to $500.
