The City of Tustin protects historically and culturally significant buildings, sites and neighborhoods through a Cultural Resource (CR) overlay zoning district. Property owners inside a designated CR District, or owners of an individually Designated Cultural Resource anywhere in the city, must obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness from Community Development before altering exterior features, building new improvements, or demolishing the resource.
