Arapahoe County Land Development Code Section 12-800 regulates fence heights in unincorporated areas. Front yard fences are limited to 3 feet, side and rear yard fences to 6 feet, and commercial/industrial zone fences to 8 feet. Agricultural land is exempt.
Fence permits are required in unincorporated Arapahoe County under LDC Section 12-800. Permit fees are set by the Board of County Commissioners to cover inspection and administration costs. Agricultural fences on qualifying land are generally exempt.
Colorado has no shared-cost fence statute. Arapahoe County LDC Section 12-800 requires side yard fences to not extend past the neighbor's front building line. Colorado CRS 35-46-101 applies only to agricultural fencing between adjacent landowners.
