Any parade of 50 or more people in unincorporated Berkeley County needs a Sheriff-issued permit under Chapter 40. Applications are due 3 to 30 days ahead, parades can only run 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the sheriff can deny, revoke, or reroute a permit for public-safety reasons.
