Vehicle Noise
Black Hawk County bans loud engine or compression brakes on any vehicle operated within the county under its Engine Noise Reduction Ordinance. A vehicle emitting excessive, loud, unusual or explosive braking noise is prima facie evidence of a violation, with a $100 scheduled fine.
