Food Truck Permits
Any truck, cart or trailer selling food to the public in Broome County is a "service food establishment" under the county Sanitary Code, and the Commissioner of Health cannot let it operate without an annual permit proving compliance with the New York State Sanitary Code. A health-code violation not fixed within 24 hours triggers an automatic suspension and a minimum three-day shutdown.
