Junkyards, auto salvage yards, recycling businesses and flea markets in unincorporated Cameron County cannot sit within 50 feet of a public street or state highway, inside an urban-density subdivision, or within 50 feet of a residence in one. Stacked materials cannot exceed 8 feet high, and farm-equipment yards are exempt.
