Shed & Carport Rules
Cecil County deleted the International Building Code's standard exemption for small sheds. Under § 157-2 of the Code of Cecil County, one-story detached accessory structures used as tool sheds, storage sheds or playhouses no longer qualify for the usual under-120-square-foot exemption from a building permit, so a permit from the Division of Permits and Inspections is required regardless of size.
