Pool Permits
Any residential swimming pool built in unincorporated Doña Ana County needs a Building Code permit under the county's adopted 2012 New Mexico Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code. The permit fee runs $3.75 per $1,000 of valuation for the first $25,000, plus $3 per $1,000 above that, and the pool must sit at least five feet from the property line, a building, or a fence.
