Dog Leash Laws
In unincorporated Fond du Lac County, no one may let a dog or other domesticated animal run loose on another person's land or on county roads and streets. County Code Sec. 14-1 counts an unleashed, unpenned animal as running at large, and Sec. 14-2 backs the rule with a forfeiture of up to $500 per violation, enforced by the Sheriff's Office.
